This is Dorraine’s second term with RDCRS as an elected school board trustee for the Highway 11 Ward. This geographic region encompasses east of Sylvan Lake through Rocky Mountain House including the communities of Caroline, Eckville, Benalto and surrounding areas. She is very committed to supporting the mission of Catholic education and its future growth.
Dorraine has been married to Brad since 1983. Rocky Mountain House has been their home the entire time. Dorraine and Brad are proud parents to two grown daughters who attended Catholic school in Rocky Mountain House from Kindergarten through Grade 12. During those 17 years, she was an active member on the parent council at both St. Matthew Catholic School and St. Dominic Catholic High School. Dorraine herself is a graduate of Bishop Garcia Diego Catholic High School and also is a graduate from the Olds College business program in 1982.
Dorraine was employed for 24 years with Wild Rose Public Schools as an administrative assistant at West Central / Will Sinclair High Schools as well as the WRSD Division Office. This was followed by over six years as Assistant Controller for a pipeline company prior to her retirement.
Over the years, she has been committed to multiple ministries at St. Matthew's Parish in Rocky which she enjoys to this day. Brad and Dorraine love being grandparents and their favorite pastime is being together with their family. In Dorraines spare time she enjoys golfing, curling, camping, reading, traveling and quilting.
